On October 8th and 9th, the European network for environmental information and observation,Eionet,held the meeting of its Focal Points. At this year’s meeting a “spotlight” was on Italy, highlighting the National Eionet Network, utilization of Copernicus data and the activities of INFO/RAC, the Information and Communication Regional Activity Centre of UNEP/MAP. INFO/RAC presented its mission and ongoing activities, emphasizing the specific task force established between the EEA and INFO/RAC.
This task force was set up in the framewok of the 2022-2030 Joint Work Planbetween UNEP/MAP and the EEA, with the objective of regular technical collaboration to deliver, in particular, on JWP work area A: “Use of digital technologies and innovation to improve monitoring and assessment systems.”
