WES Info - Contribution to the development of a joint public-private roadmap to reduce the use of Single-Use Plastics in Jordan
Within the framework of the EU-funded project "Water and Environment Support (WES) in the ENI Southern Neighborhood region", the WES team of environmental experts designed and implemented, from May 2021 to December 2023, a national activity covering two topics namely "Curbing Single-Use Plastics (SUPs)" and "Green Banking" in order to support the implementation of the green economy roadmap and green investment opportunities in the waste sector in Jordan, and in particular SUPs.
The overall objective of this activity, requested by the Jordanian Ministry of the Environment, was to provide technical assistance and build the country's capacity to develop and implement effective measures to reduce the consumption and leakage of SUPs into the environment.
