Training session on data platforms

On 6 and 7 February 2024, a training session on the main data platforms, co-organized by INFO/RAC and SPA/RAC, was held at ISPRA headquarters in Rome.

The training session focused on the processes of collection, analysis, workflow and dissemination of crucial information related to marine biodiversity and invasive species in the Mediterranean region through the use of RAC/SPA data platforms, such as the Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI), the Mediterranean Biodiversity Platform (MBP) and the Mediterranean Invasive Alien Species Platform (MAMIAS).

INFO/RAC presented the Knowledge Management Platform (KMaP) and possible synergies with the SPA/RAC platforms.

The training session was funded by the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Energy Security (MASE) through the bilateral Agreement with UNEP/MAP.

Participants in the training session came from Algeria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Lebanon, Egypt and Tunisia.
