All WeMed Award winners

The third edition of the WEMED AWARD was held on 23 October, in the beautiful Beit Al-Hekma, the Tunisian Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts. This annual award promotes the transition to sustainability in the Mediterranean and recognizes the success stories of sustainable businesses and public authorities that support them.

The winners of the WeMed 2023 Award are:
Micaela Clubourg (DCC PLATFROM), Maher Oudira (Green Alafco), Mohamed Mekki MAALEJ (IrWise), Maya Karkour (EcoConsulting - UK & Lebanon) and Alessandro Scuderi (Ohoskin)

This year's awards are divided into two categories: one, with two prizes, is for Business Support Organisations, another with four awards is for Entrepreneurs/ Start-ups.
The award ceremony was preceded by a roundtable on “The nexus between Green Entrepreneurship and Ecological Transition Change mitigation in the Mediterranean”

The WeMed Award is hosted by MedWaves, the United Nations Environment Programme Mediterranean Action Plan (UNEP/MAP) Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Consumption and Production (MedWaves- Catalan Waste Agency) ad co-organized with Texfor. It is part of RESET!, an EU-founded project under the ENI CBC Med Programme.
