INFO/RAC has launched two public selection procedures within the framework of ISPRA, aimed at hiring Level III Technologists under fixed-term, full-time contracts.

The positions are based at the ISPRA headquarters in Rome and are part of the implementation of the INFO/RAC Programme of Work.
Both calls are related to the strengthening of environmental information systems and digital infrastructures supporting UNEP/MAP activities in the Mediterranean region.

Main activities

The selected candidates will be involved in technical activities supporting the development and management of environmental information systems, including:

• development, customization and management of information platforms (BCRS, NBB/PRTR, MAP InfoSystem)
• support to GIS systems and integration with the UNEP/MAP Knowledge Management Platform (KMaP)
• management, harmonization and visualization of environmental data, including map creation
• development of geostories and dashboards in line with UNEP/MAP data policy and FAIR data management principles
• management of relational databases and infrastructure based on virtualization and container technologies

These positions aim to contribute to the enhancement of digital infrastructures and environmental data management systems in the Mediterranean area, in coordination with UNEP/MAP.
