The latest from the Plan Bleu Report
The summary of the report, “The Mediterranean by 2050: a foresight study by Plan Bleu”, is now also available in Greek. Following the publication of the report in French and English, and its summary in French, English, and Arabic, this Greek version aims to expand access to the MED2050 work and strengthen regional dialogue on possible transition pathways toward desirable futures.
The publication is the result of a collaboration between Plan Bleu and experts from across the Mediterranean basin. It represents a milestone in understanding the sustainable development challenges facing the Mediterranean region and offers future perspectives for the next thirty years.
The report presents six scenarios for the future of the region by 2050. Its purpose is to inform policymakers and regional stakeholders, as well as to raise awareness among the general public, so that everyone can understand the sustainable development challenges the region must address.
MED2050 also proposes a series of recommendations, emphasizing the importance of cooperation-based solutions at different levels. In the face of growing challenges, this report provides a solid foundation for coordinated regional action.
