Specifically created for students and teachers, the Education Toolkit for the Blue Transformation of Aquaculture in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea is an educational journey on Blue Transformation in aquaculture for students in the Mediterranean and Black Sea region.

Prepared by the GFCM, the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean, and the FAO, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the toolkit was developed with the aim of stimulating learning and promoting the aquaculture sector.

Its goal is to provide a learning experience on a topic that is not always well known, especially among younger students. Through this toolkit, students will discover the role of aquatic food production in ensuring food security, creating jobs, fostering economic development, and supporting the well-being of people.

Divided into three units for teachers, students aged 5–18, and students aged 13–18, the toolkit highlights the environmental, social, and economic benefits of farmed aquatic food systems, with activities focused on enjoyable learning, teamwork, and critical thinking.
