The LIFE Calls for Proposals 2025 have been launched to support projects aimed at conserving nature, protecting the environment, taking climate action, or helping Europe transition to clean energy. Projects can compete for a share of the €600 million just announced for 2025.

You can visit the LIFE Calls for Proposals 2025 page to find everything you need to apply, including a list of sub-programmes and indicative budgets to help you choose the one best suited to your project.

For more information, you can register for the upcoming virtual EU Life25 Info Days, taking place from 13 to 15 May 2025. During the event, experts will guide you through the application process and share tips for submitting a successful proposal.

The LIFE Programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action. Since 1992, it has been bringing green ideas to life and, to date, has co-financed over 6,000 projects across the EU and in third countries.
For the 2021–2027 period, the European Commission has increased LIFE Programme funding by nearly 60%, raising the budget to €5.4 billion and introducing a new sub-programme focused on the clean energy transition.
The recently announced Work Programme for 2025–2027 sets an overall budget of €2.3 billion for projects addressing the circular economy, zero pollution, nature and biodiversity, climate mitigation and adaptation, and clean energy.
The LIFE Programme is managed by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).
