Cyprus will host the European Maritime Day 2026 on 21–22 May. The event will take place in the old town, at the Carob Mill in Limassol. High-level sessions, the exhibition, and part of the workshops will be held in this venue, while additional workshops will take place nearby.
Organized by the European Commission, the Deputy Ministry for Shipping of the Republic of Cyprus, and the Municipality of Limassol, the event brings together the maritime community for networking, exchanging ideas, and defining joint actions on issues related to the sea and the sustainable blue economy. It is also an opportunity to celebrate “Maritime Europe,” highlighting all sectors and activities related to the sea, and to help European citizens understand the breadth and variety of marine activities, reflecting on the crucial role that the seas play in everyday life.
With plenary sessions, thematic roundtables, stakeholder workshops, an exhibition, and numerous networking opportunities, EMD is a platform for discussion for activities and sectors related to the sea, offering an interactive space for businesses, policymakers, public institutions, NGOs, academia, and citizens to address the present and future challenges of the European maritime and blue economy.
