The main theme: urban design solutions to address all kinds of climate challenges, with resilience as a foundation, transition as a process, and transformation as an outcome.
Proposals must take into account an approach to climate change challenges in the Mediterranean basin and its built environments, keeping urban design scale as the main reference.
They should also demonstrate how resilience can be embedded in Mediterranean urban fabrics, how transition can guide adaptation processes, and how transformation can pave the way for new models of sustainable urban living.
Projects should contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and embrace cultural, social, economic and environmental sustainability.
Eligible projects must be located in a country bordering the Mediterranean. This includes sites located in: Spain, France, Monaco, Italy, Malta, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia or Morocco.
