Criteria for selection

    To prefer, whenever possible, certified suppliers (ISO, EMAS) ensuring they act responsibly to the environment; however, to take into consideration and evaluate also small provider efforts to reduce the impact to the environment

    To take into consideration (i) price (low/competitive), (ii) quality (high; with a good reputation), and (iii) flexibility of their services

    To give priority to local suppliers

    To give priority, whenever possible, to one single supplier who can satisfy more requirements, i.e. ensure several services, including accommodation (hotel), transportation (from / to the airport), meeting venue (a conference room), catering services (food & beverages), waste disposal (prior, during and after a meeting)

    To take into consideration that suppliers can communicate in English, and in French, as preferable (for the case when an event takes place abroad)

    To take into consideration the efforts of the provider that show that they believe in social equity and social rights

COP 20 Information Booth

During COP 20, a booth dedicated to the MAP Sustainable Operations will be located in the lobby and will present the progresses of the RACs and the way forward regarding the ISO 20121. A quiz and a CO2 Emission calculator will also be proposed in order to heighten awareness on Sustainable Operations.
